Don’t forget to celebrate Easter Saturday 🤔

Holy Week is an absolute roller coaster, careening between triumphal excitement, ultimate humility, bitter loss, deep guilt, and then shocking hope. But what do we often miss on that roller coaster?

The moment after the crushing disappointment.

Where the
grief has settled in and you start grappling with a new normal.

Where
purpose and meaning have been snatched from your chest and there's no reason to get up.

Where a bright and thrilling future turns into
bitter resentment.

Easter Saturday was probably the longest day in human history.

But we have a lot of Saturdays, right? Saturdays that seem to last weeks, months, or even years.

Being stuck looks a lot like being trapped in Saturday and spending all of your energy trying to force your way out. And it's not a good feeling.

But what if the way to finally make it to Resurrection Sunday, to being done with stuck, actually includes accepting your Saturday?

What if taking the time to feel the sting of bitter death...
helped you find your way to healing?

What if patiently standing empty-handed at the cross and wondering how you got there...
helped you carve a new path that led to life?

What if mourning the loss that you've inevitably experienced in this broken world...
helped you learn what you need most from God?

If the pain, hopelessness, and grief of Saturday weren’t an important part of our journey... then we'd be celebrating Resurrection Saturday right now.

Lean into the emptiness of Easter Saturday so God has plenty of space to fill on Resurrection Sunday.

And hey... we've got the perfect song to help you do that!
