Conversation Partners
Why you shouldn't do this alone, and how the weekly conversations work.
Change is hard.
And it's worse than that — it's scary. Sure, we all experience it differently: it's harder for some, more natural for others. But when it comes to changing OURSELVES, it's no walk in the park.
The goal of these conversations is to break the silence on what's really going on inside of you, and then clarify what needs to happen next. Both of those things happen best alongside trustworthy conversation partners.
How these conversations work
These conversations will probably be roughly 30–60 minutes long, depending on if you are with just one partner or a group. If your group is a little larger (we recommend around 5 max), you may need a little longer — and a timer so everyone splits up time a little more evenly.
You'll have your conversation each week after you've…
- watched a full part's content,
- done the self-reflection work, and
- practiced your action step
It's all about sharing and clarifying; it will feel more like "reporting" than "discussing." You'll mostly just read your written responses to each question, only adding extra if you connect dots in the moment or know something needs clarification.
The goal is to grow in relationship by sharing from the self-reflection work you did during the week, and then let your conversation partner(s) help you clarify what you're learning by asking open-ended self-discovery questions.
